The extremely fine knotting of this Silk Tabriz is a vanishing art form. The city of Tabriz (the Second largest city in Iran) has been the epicenter for Persian carpet trade for hundreds and perhaps thousands of years. Rugs of this caliber were meant to draw attention and were reserved for kings and rulers. Silk Tabriz rugs are prized possessions that are passed from one generation to the next.
