All around the Chinese dragon at the center are mountains sprouting shrubs. A diagonal striped border nicely frames the pictorial fantasy of the fields. Probably made in one of the official the imperial workshops, this piece preserves the aristocratic grace, restraint, and elegance for which classical Chinese art is prized.
