The Antique Heriz Rug – 8'9" x 10'5" is named after the largest town in the mountainous area of northwest Persia. Tabriz merchants who wanted room-size carpets for export asked weavers to create rugs modeled after scraps of fabric. The result is the Heriz carpet, a stunning hybrid of rustic village weaving combined with rich grand Persian court design.
