Our Fresco collection is inspired by modern abstract art, mostly working with texture and colored with natural dyes. Most compositions of these Fresco rugs are Reminiscent of the Abstract Impressionist Movement. Marc Rothko is best known as one of the central figures of the Abstract Expressionist movement in American art in the 1950s and ’60s. Abstract expressionism is a post–World War II art movement in American painting, building on elements of abstract art and expressionism. The movement is closely associated with painting, and painters such as Arshile Gorky, Franz Kline, Clyfford Still, Hans Hofmann, Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Elaine de Kooning and others.
