Fine Antique Avar Kelim rug of the Caucasus were responsible for designing. Producing some of the most distinctive, most easily identifiable antique Oriental rugs. Kelim designs are made by interweaving the variously colored wefts and warps, thus creating what is known as a flatweave.

Khamseh, Persian Rugs, Runners
Antique Khamseh Classical Piece rugs are greatly admired by rug experts for having fine craftsmanship and lustrous wool. Khamseh refers to a nomadic tribal group from Southwestern Iran. Similar to Qashqai, these rugs feature intricate geometric motifs as well as saturated color. This Antique Khamseh Woven C. 1875 Rug was made in Persia, and is made of natural dyed wool.
