“Jaf” refers to a tribe who speak the Jaf dialect of Jaffi, and are the largest Kurdish tribe in the Middle East. Jaf Kurdish rugs feature an intricate diamond lattice pattern, as seen on this Unique Rare Jaf Kurd Rug Circa 1860s.
