Chakhansaur district in South West Afghanistan in the Siestan dessert and Badghis province West and North of Herat. Characteristics of Baluch weaving is fineness of stitch and weave. Colors are Indigo blues and soft reds. The wool is from the Baluchi and Ghilzai sheep that gives the Afghan Baluch its lustrous sheen.
